Places of Interest

There are many beautiful places close to the village where you can relax or unwind.  Castles and villages steeped in Cathar history; long sandy beaches; the giant chasm of Cabrespine.-one of the largest caves in the world open to the public - 80 metres long and 220 metres high. The geology of the cave is unusual, with a huge range of crystal and rock formations; In Carcassonne you will also find a man-made beach at Lac de la Cavayere, along with the Australien Parc which is a leisure park and zoo.  If you like the series of books that Kate Mosse wrote 'Labyrinth, Sepulchre, Citadel then this is the region that was written about and filmed around.

Narbonne

Lovely sandy beach, ideal for sand-castles, gently sloping sea bed. Lots of things to do directly in front of the town, or a little further along the beach. Pedalos, jet-skis, wind surfing, dinghy sailing, sand yachting, quad bikes, crazy golf, horse riding, cycling.  All great fun in a very laid back way.  Small resort, with a reasonable selection of restaurants.
